For a time, Chagos Islands FC took part in a local league, also playing occasional friendlies against the likes of Raetia (a province of the Roman Empire in central Europe) and Sealand (an unrecognised micronation that claims an casino offshore platform off the coast of Suffolk). But there were consistent financial problems and they eventually folded.
